Depending on when you're listening to Sound Medicine, the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure either was or will be held in Indianapolis over the weekend.
Predictions are that about 40,000 walkers and runners will take part in the event, raising $2.5 million dollars to go toward breast cancer research.
Which raises the question: Since the so-called "war on cancer" was launched 40 years ago, billions have been spent looking for a cure for various kinds of cancer.
In this week's Doc Chat, we ask our resident breast cancer expert, Dr. Kathy Miller, if all that money has moved us that much closer.
