One theory in medical research suggests that stem cells may have something to do with the origins of skin cancer.
Debra Lang, assistant professor of medicine at the University of Chicago, joins Dr. Kathy Miller to discuss her work studying melanoma any her application of the "cancer stem cell hypothesis."
Lang's research into how tumors develop in the skin is funded in part by the Outrun the Sun Race, which will be held on June seventh at 7:00 P.M. in downtown Indianapolis.
