Pancreas cancer doesn't get as much attention as breast or lung cancer, but it can be just as deadly.
Cancer of the pancreas is difficult to diagnose, so it’s often nearly impossible to cure with standard cancer treatments like chemotherapy and radiation.
Dr. Max Schmidt, a surgeon at the Indiana University School of Medicine, is working on surgical methods for dealing with pancreatic cancer before the disease progresses too far.
Today Dr. Schmidt discusses treatments for pancreatic cancer with Sound Medicine’s Dr. David Crabb.
