Interview: Peter Finn, PhD
Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences Indiana University, Bloomington
A new five-year research project funded by the National Institutes of Health is studying the links between the brain’s decision-making ability and alcohol dependence.
Earlier studies have found that reduced attention capacity and impulsive decision making are associated with early onset of alcohol dependence.
Now, professor Peter Finn of the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Indiana University is taking that work a step further.
Finn explains that his work has implications for treating alcoholism and for preventing it.
