We begin this week with an honest-to-goodness food fight.
On one side are nutritionists who are blaming "high fructose corn syrup" for a big part of the obesity epidemic.
The ingredient, also called HFCS, shows up in lots of processed foods and soft drinks because it's inexpensive.
On the other side are those who say that the real culprit is added sugar in any form, and that high fructose corn syrup is simply the most recent villain ingredient.
So today, Sound Medicine's Dr. David Crabb speaks with well-known nutritionist Marion Nestle to find out who’s right in the "sweetener wars."
