Interview: William Roberts, MD
Professor, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, Univ. of Minnesota
It's the end of August, it's hot. And for a lot of high school football players, it's the season for intense practices to get ready for the season.
And as our first guest will explain, it's also the season to be on the lookout for heat stroke on the playing field.
The National Athletic Trainer's Association recently came out with new guidelines to protect high school players during this hot weather.
Joining us to explain the problem is Dr. William Roberts, a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and an expert on exercise-related heat stroke.
