Interview: Amy McConkey Robbins, speech pathologist, author
Health professionals who work with children with special needs require not just skill in their field.
They also need a huge amount of patience. And tenacity. And even then, it can be rough going.
Today Barbara Lewis is joined in the studio by speech and language pathologist Amy McConkey Robbins. She’s just co-written a new book about those challenges. It’s called Whirlwinds and Small Voices: Sustaining Commitment to Work with Special-Needs Children.
Robbins offers insight and advice for anyone who works or lives with a child with special needs.
