Interview: Sandy Roob, Sound Medicine reporter
We begin today's show with the hard choices faced by families with a loved one who can no longer manage at home alone.
One choice, of course, is a nursing home or some sort of assisted living arrangement.
For others, technology is providing new ways to "age in place," as the phrase goes.
In fact, private in-home care is now the fastest growing area in geriatrics.
And as Sound Medicine reporter Sandy Roob found, in-home elder care can make sense for the entire family, no matter how far-flung.
