Interview: Connie Mariano, MD
Author, The White House Doctor: My Patients Were Presidents — a Memoir

What it’s like to have the most important person in the world as your patient? That’s the job of the White House physician, and it’s role played by our next guest for three U.S. presidents.

Connie Mariano, MD, talks about life as the White House doctor with Sound Medicine’s Dr. David Crabb.

Dr. Mariano's book, White House Doctor is a memoir about her 9 years as physician to both Bush presidents and Bill Clinton.

Dr. Mariano was the first Filipino-American of either gender to rise to rear admiral, and the first woman in the military to become the White House physician.
