Chair, division of anesthesiology, critical care medicine and pain management, Cleveland Clinic
Author Michael Roizen, MD, joins Sound Medicine’s Kathy Miller, MD, to discuss a new book he’s co-authored with celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz.
The book is called YOU: Having a Baby: The Owner's Manual to a Happy and Healthy Pregnancy. It's a pregnancy guide that focuses on "epigenetics" -- how environmental factors can affect gene expression. Dr. Roizen explains how women, primarily through diet, can influence their babies’ health and genetic predisposition.
Dr. Roizen chairs the division of anesthesiology, critical care medicine, and pain management at the Cleveland Clinic.
