Interview: Barbara Strauch, editor, New York Times
Author, The Secret Life of the Grown-up Brain

I’m Barbara Lewis, and I don’t mind telling you that I have what might be characterized as a middle-aged brain. Can’t help it. So when I heard that journalist Barbara Strauch was out with a new book on the topic, I knew I had to speak with her.

Ms. Strauch is health and medical science editor for the New York Times, and she’s just published The Secret Life of the Grown-up Brain.

In the book she argues that the brain actually improves in middle age in all sort of ways, including judgement, recognizing patterns, and even overall happiness.
