Did You Know?: Veggies for Healthy Skin

I'm Jeremy Shere.
Fruits and vegetables are a key part of a balanced diet. But did you know that eating more fruits and veggies may be especially good for your skin?
In a recent study, Scottish researchers looked at several dozen college students in their early 20s, asking them about their diets and measuring their skin tone. Over six weeks, those who ate the most fruits and vegetables ended up with healthier, rosier-looking skin. Even just one extra portion was enough to do the trick.
The researchers suspect that the benefit comes from carotenoids -- the red, yellow, and orange pigments found in fruits and vegetables.
And now you know.
