A recent study published in the journal Pediatrics reported that 25,000 children or teenagers are injured in farm-related accidents every year. George Gantsoudes, M.D., discusses what kind of farm injuries he sees most often in his role as an orthopedic surgeon at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health and whether rural hospitals have adequate resources to treat such injuries. Dr. Gantsoudes is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine.
